What if the life you’ve been assigned isn’t the one you are supposed to live? The story of Gertrude Ederle is one of the most impossible stories of overcoming that I have ever seen.  This remarkable story is almost impossible to believe, but should have found a much bigger audience.  This period piece introduces to German immigrant culture, the misogynistic world of the 1920’s in America and disregard for women’s sports. It is not preachy, but makes it point powerfully in the narrative of a truly incredible story.
